The Euroscript Screen Story Competition 2009 is looking
for writers with powerful story ideas and original voices who are willing to
commit to a rigorous writing programme with help from their script editor.
1st Prize
The winning writer will receive one-on-one professional guidance to develop
his/her screen story from treatment or first draft. The writer will have the
opportunity to complete up to three drafts with a full script report at each
stage of the development process and regular scheduled meetings and continuing
email and telephone support with their consultant. The winning writer will also
be given help and advice on marketing the script.
2nd Prize
An in-depth Euroscript script report (usually five to six
pages), together with a meeting with their script editor and e-mail and
telephone support.
3rd Prize
Three writers will win the third prize of one of
Euroscript’s bullet-point script reports on any screenplay of their choice.
All other entries receive a
free bullet point report
To enter the Euroscript Screen Story Competion 2009 you need
to submit a two page prose outline of the story you want to develop, plus ten
pages of sample script, which can either be a complete short film or an extract
from a full length screenplay (either the one you wish to develop through
Euroscript or another screenplay you have completed); the sample must include a
mixture of action and dialogue.
